Dr. Prasanta K. Mishra

Chairman

Dr. Mishra is an entrepreneur – educationist with an M. Sc. in Chemistry and a PhD in Nuclear Chemistry. He is the co-founder of Kalinga Institute of Industrial Technology (KIIT) and is credited with strategizing its all-round growth during the first 15 years of its existence by creating a world-class learning environment for students and teachers. Dr. Mishra has also co-founded Knowledge Trust, an organization which is committed to providing quality technical education.

Dr. Mishra is a co-founder and was the founding Managing Director of Kalingasoft. Leveraging his in-depth understanding of needs of educational sector and robust working associations in education world, he has championed the setting up of the education consulting practice of Kalingasoft. He is committed to sharing his knowledge and insights in the creation of quality educational institutes in India and abroad.

Srijat Mishra

Chief Executive Officer and Managing Director

Srijat is a graduate in engineering (B. Tech., Elect. Engg) and a post-graduate in management (PGDM, IIM Calcutta) with Finance as his Major and Economics & Operations as his Minor. Prior to joining Kalingasoft in 2003, he had worked for Corporate Strategy Group of PricewaterhouseCoopers, credit rating firm ICRA and Management Consulting arm of A. F. Ferguson. Srijat has assisted a wide array of organizations including MNCs, large corporate houses, PSUs, Government, Mid-cap companies and start-ups.

Among the first in the country to understand the potential and to be committed to unlocking the value in the education sector, his focus is to ensure the right strategic vision and values and facilitate in continuously molding the business model in line of continuously changing market opportunities and organizational context. His other passions include spiritualism, writing, teaching and stock markets.

Rajesh Sharma

Director –Product Development and Innovation

Prior to joining Kalingasoft, Rajesh has more than 8 years of professional experience in top notch companies like BHEL, Cognizant Technology Solutions and Infosys Technologies Ltd.

He has successfully executed international projects in multiple technologies and multiple domains. He has in the past assisted giants in telecom, insurance and power sector domain. His joining Kalingasoft has given a give a big boost to quality processes and product development and innovation activities. He has been instrumental in the design and development of GreyCells, one of the most powerful open source compliant Education ERP solutions.

Tarun Kumar

Director

Tarun’s more than 24 years professional journey started as an exploration geologist with the premier mineral exploration company of the country. Later he completed his MCA from BIT, Mesra and was head of the Systems Division of the company’s regional headquarters for more than a decade. He switched over to academics full-time and taught information technology management in KIIT School of Management for 6 years. He successfully conducted various MDPs and training programmes for many companies. He has contributed papers to many national/international seminars and journals and co-edited a book titled “Future Organisations: Strategising Business”. He is pursuing his PhD from Aligarh Muslim University on the topic “KM Influences on e-Governance Projects: A Study of Projects in Different States”. He has done an "Advance Diploma in Management" from AIMA, Delhi.

Tarun is a keen sports enthusiast and still loves to play cricket, badminton and table-tennis.

Rupam Deb

Investor and Director Designate

Rupam Deb is a Singapore based investor and is the Managing Director of the investment outfit IndigoAtlantic Ltd. Prior to this Rupam was a Group Director and an Executive Management team member at Gibraltar based PartyGaming Plc Ltd. He was part of the core team of people who grew the company from a relatively small single product, single country business to a Billion Dollar global enterprise leading to a historic IPO at the LSE. Rupam also served as Group Marketing Director at PG where he was the global head of Sales and Marketing. Rupam has over 15 years of corporate experience in different companies like CashTech, L&T Infotech, Olam and ICI and has played different roles in Sales, Marketing, Product Management and Business Management.

Rupam graduated from IIM Calcutta and before that obtained his B. Tech (Honours) degeee from IIT Kharagpur.
