| e-Billing |
 |
Currently the telephone bills of subscribers
are prepared by computer and are printed and delivered to subscribers
through postal system.
The delivery system with no effort and no much cost can be modified
to deliver the bills of subscribers by e-mail saving cost and time
involved.
The foremost advantage of the e-billing system is that the department
reaches the customer with information of his bill.
|
Scope and Facilities of the “e-Billing” System
- Apart from the billing information detailed bills carrying
the information of pulse rate, time and duration of calls can
be attached and send to subscriber. This enables the subscriber
to do analysis (Like no of calls made to a particular no etc…)
on the information using MS-Excel and other software.
- Customized message, write-ups on existing/ new facilities and
any other relevant information can also be mailed to subscriber
along with the bills at no extra cost and time
- On request by subscriber even previous bills can be mailed.
- Subscriber having multiple no of telephone connections can get
abstract of the bill.
- Forms/ Formats that are free and available at counter can be
mailed to subscriber on the request instantaneously which avoids
printing and misuse.
- Once installed the software requires no maintenance thus there
is no overhead on maintenance and ownership.
- On each bill date, at a click of mouse the software start sending
the bills and needs no intervention until and unless the connection
to internet goes down and internally stopped.

Future of the
Software
The software can be added to web servers which can collect information
like delivery acknowledgement read acknowledgements where by the department
can be assured of delivery. Once the delivery is assured the department
can think of reducing the gap between Bill date and pay by date.
