Envisaged Quality Structure Our envisaged quality structure (currently under implementation) is based on a four tiered- process documentation, data collection (Process Database), Analysis and interpretation( Capability baselines) and repository of project experiences, in-house developed tools and knowledge warehouse.
We are also implementing the EPTVX-M (Entry, Plan, Task, Verify, Exit-Measurement) structure for all software life cycle activities. The figure below shows each of the steps and the flow involved in this structure.

Domains a) Education: Kalingasoft aims to develop tools and expertise to facilitate effective education management through proactive use of cutting edge technology. Kalingasoft has exploited its unique strength of strong domain knowledge through proximity to KIIT and access to world-class technology from alliance partners to develop significant expertise and cutting-edge innovative solutions in education technology space. Kalingasoft, by virtue of its highly effective collaborations and persistent in-house research, has in its portfolio many solutions in education management. While e-IMS and e-Campus have been fully developed and implemented, other offerings are in different stages of research and development. i. e-IMS: Kalingasoft is one of the leading providers of web-based education ERP solutions in India. Kalingasoft has developed e-IMS (e-Institute Management System), which is a comprehensive web based and multi-user automation solution specifically designed for education and corporate training institutions. e-IMS has more than 20 clients spread all across India. Kalingasoft has also got repeat business from existing clients for new functionality additions and maintenance of the implemented software. ii. e-Campus: Implemented at KIIT, in association with Tata Telecom, e-Campus networks the entire KIIT university spread over 5 sq. km. It has hi-tech wireless and fibre-optic network facilities connecting non-contiguous campuses (more than 600 computers, all networked to a single back-bone) and having convergence of voice, video and data over the same network. b) Government: The representative clientele and project list is as below: i. BSNL: Kalingasoft has developed a fully automated e-billing system for BSNL. This system automatically generates e-bills on the due date and delivers it to the e-mail addresses of BSNL’s customers. This system has been successfully implemented in BSNL’s Bhubaneshwar and Rourkela circles. ii. OPEPA: Kalingasoft has developed a comprehensive Paperless Office and Document Management solution for Orissa Primary Education Programme. iii. OSDMA: Kalingasoft has developed a diary despatch system for Orissa State Disaster Mitigation Authority iv. Adam Smith: Kalingasoft has developed web-based data-base development solution for Orissa Lift Irrigation Corporation. This solution helped Adam Smith to quickly assess and collate information regarding the degree of damage to irrigation facilities of the state during the Super Cyclone in circa 1999 c) Corporate: Its representative clientele and projects in the corporate sector are as follows: i. Paradeep Phosphates Limited (PPL): Post PPL’s privatisation, PPL sought the help of Kalingasoft to customize and re-engineer their RIAS software that is being used by Group Companies Chambal Fertilizer and Zuari Agro. This software has front end of Developer 2000 and uses Oracle 9i Database. It encompasses the functional areas of Sales Accounting, Distribution, Warehouse Accounting, Handling & Transportation and Financial Accounting. Kalingasoft has worked on the gap analysis, documentation (in the form of SRS, SDD, LLD and User Manuals), re-design, integration, code changes of the solution and migration from Developer 2000 to Developer 6i. Based on Kalingasoft’s good performance in the project, PPL has also invited Kalingasoft to automate other processes related to finance, sales, materials management and manufacturing functions. ii. Indian Metal and Ferro Alloys (IMFA) and Indian Charge Chrome Limited: Kalingasoft, along with development partner Enterprise Systems Solutions (ESS) are developing a web-based Materials Management solution for IMFA group. iii. Neelachal Ispat Private Limited (NIPL): Kalingasoft has been invited by NIPL to propose for automating a multi-user Financial and Materials Management solution. iv. Teams members have been associated with (including in a consulting capacity) various large national level groups/companies including Mahindra Group, TVS Group, BHEL, Jindal Group, Bajaj, IPCL etc. d) Health: Our flagship product namely e-HMS (e-Hospital management System) is currently under implementation in Kalinga Institute of Medical Sciences. e) Team's International Experience: kalingasoft team members also have substantial experience in working for international clients including London Business School, INSEAD -Paris, Sparkus Animation - London, Infiniti Research - London, British Steel, Nikkon Telecom - Japan, Covad Communications - USA, Mars Canada Limited - Canada, Verizon - USA, Southern California Edison - USA etc. |
